Kinetic Performance Technology is a company with dedication and a passion for sports science and technology. Directors, Rob Shugg and Evan Lawton have a combined 20 years experience at the Australian Institute of Sport developing and delivering technology solutions. Their developments underpinned key successes of the organisation.

After working on technologies to measure athlete performance they saw an opportunity to bring power monitoring to the Gym. Rob and Evan founded Kinetic Performance and developed GymAware - a world-class athlete performance monitoring system. The company has since expanded it's product range and is backed by a highly motivated team of individuals focused on continuously delivering quality innovative sports technology and services to the elite sports community.

The Kinetic Performance team strives to deliver world-leading sports technology solutions and knowledge. We are a driven by a core group of individuals who are dedicated and passionate about what they do. The skills and knowledge of our core team is supplemented by a wider network of professionals, specialists and advanced users who are as interested and excited about what we do as we are.

The company Directors -

Rob Shugg

Rob has over 20 years experience in a range of sports science technology research and development projects, including 12 years working with sports physiology at the Australian Institute Sport (AIS). He has a keen interest in creating the optimal technical solution when it comes to product development. He is skilled in thinking outside the square and overall system design, with a strong background in electronic and mechanical engineering.

Rob designed and built a series of state-of-the-art systems for evaluating and improving athlete performance at the AIS. He is a recognised authority within Australia in sports performance technology. When he's not developing Kinetic's technologies, Rob enjoys life with his family, home improvement projects and tai chi.

Evan Lawton

Evan has over 15 years experience in a range of sports science technology R&D projects. He is particularly interested in working with teams and coaches focusing on athlete performance monitoring. He is skilled in electronics, instrumentation and working with elite athletes in a testing environment.

Evan enjoys rock climbing as well as a number of sports including tennis, mountain biking and athletics. If you are ever looking for Ev you will more than likely find him on the side of a rock face - climbing is his passion. Back on solid ground at Kinetic Performance, Evan has a focus on customer satisfaction, process management and quality assurance.
