Tim Exeter

“GymAware is a game changer. In Rugby, players spend as much time in the gym as the training pitch, so to have a system that allows us to track, feedback and manage the squad more effectively is a no brainer. Whilst everyone looks at GPS outside, GymAware takes care of the rest.”

Tim Exeter is the Athletic Performance Coach at Metasport (France). Here he works with elite French and foreign sportsmen and women, and consults to numerous teams and federations. Tim’s history is with Soccer with FA Wales, Stoke City, Coventry City, West Bromwich; in Rugby with Scotland and England U21. He also had 7 years at Northampton Saints RFC followed by CA Brive in French Top 14.

He has been using GymAware with his athletes and finds it a fantastic tool to educate athletes on optimal loading. With his rugby athletes, he wanted to find a way to show them that lifting as heavy as possible or bulking up were not the only way to train. With GymAware they could see there progress in a multi dimensional way - not just weight lifted. Now with the focus GymAware gives Tim has found his athletes understand why they are getting faster and more explosive.

“GymAware gives valid feedback, accountability, and reporting capability (pro online account). It is a lot easier to track athletes, brilliant as a motivational tool (Leaderboard) and easy to make every session competitive, which in Team sports is key.”

Mostly, Tim has found that if the players don't get it (the training), then it is less efficient. As a non-techo, Tim has found GymAware easy to use and very user friendly. Currently he uses it with Rugby, Soccer, Tennis, Athletics, Handball and Paralympic Table tennis.
